Mischa Barton's Drug-Abuse Scandals

Mischa Barton, the twenty-one year old actess, is known for her role in the hit tv series The OC where she played Marissa Cooper from 2003 to 2006. While Marissa Cooper struggled from substance abuse on the show, no one really thought about the real Mischa abusing them as well. However, after her most recent DUI arrest, it is now clear that Mischa is not just an innocent actress playing a bad-girl role.

On December 28, 2007, Mischa was pulled over after there was suspicion that she was drinking and driving. The Los Angeles County Sheriffs took her into custody after they stopped her car. The actress was charged with drinking and driving and possession of marijuana. She blew a 0.12 on her breathalyzer test. She also had prescription drugs in her possession that she claimed were not hers.

Mischa got her mugshot and was put in jail for seven hours before she was finally released on a $10,000 bail. I guess she decided to follow in the footsteps of other actresses who have had there mugshots taken, including Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

Another mishap that Mischa ran into was on May 28, 2007 when she collapsed after mixing alcohol and antibiotics at a friends barbecue. It is reported that, "The 21-year-old celeb was rushed to an undisclosed medical facility in Los Angeles, where we are told she is "resting comfortably". Although she recovered well, shouldn't she have known not to mix alcohol and prescription drugs?

On February 24, 2007, Mischa Barton was apparently filmed smoking pot while driving. The paparazzi caught her smoking what looked identical to a joint. Because no one rolls their own cigarettes anymore, it is pretty safe to assume that it was marijuana. Although Mischa dumped her pot-smoking boyfriend Cisco Adler, she obviously did not dump her pot-smoking habit.

Mischa Barton is also known in Hollywood for being a hard partyer. She is often seen getting sloshed at different nightclubs with different actresses, including Kirsten Dunst. The two were seen recently vomiting outside a nightclub in LA.

In the case of the DUI, Mischa accepted a plea charge, and will have to go through a three-year probabtion and an alcohol-abuse education class. The marijuana possesion charge will be dropped. When asked about the incident, Mischa said, “Obviously I’m 100 percent responsible for my actions in this case. I’m really disappointed in myself. I don’t know what to say about it, except that I’m not perfect, and I just don’t ever intend to do something this stupid again.” The girl definately needs to be careful, especially since her sister was just admitted into rehab for abusing pain killers. Maybe rehab would be the best thing for Mischa so that she won't get into any more trouble.

Mary-Kate Olsen in Rehab: Anorexia or Cocaine?

Mary-Kate Olsen has been struggling for a long time with her eating disorder. Two days before she turned eighteen, her father checked her into Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah to battle her war against anorexia. This is the same rehab center that Lindsay Lohan and Eva Mendes were treated. The center is known for its great therapy techniques and its intensity in treating drug addictions. Mary-Kate was scheduled to do a thirty-day program that cost $29,850. The treatment also allows patients to come and go as they please, as long as it gets approved by the counselor.

Mary Kate's twin sister made recent visits to Mary-Kate. Ashley claimed that, ""She’s been struggling for quite awhile. She is taking the time she needs for herself. Right now is especially a good time right before school so she can get healthy." Mary Kate had her family and friends to support her. The actress definately needed help. Her ribs were sticking so far through her skin it was scary.

There have also been many rumors about Mary-Kate's hard partying. It is rumored that the twin also seeked treatment for a cocaine addiction. Many people claim that Mary-Kate's real issue is her drug abuse. Maybe that is the reason the star doesn't have an appetite? People believe that, like most stars, Mary-Kate's reps tried to hide the real issue by covering it up with anorexia.

There is something else that is shaking up Mary-Kate. Ever since Heath Ledger's overdose and death, Mary-Kate has been receiving hate mail and even death threats from the actor's fans. Many fans blame Ledger's drug overdose on tiny Mary-Kate. One celebrity claims that, “A lot of people who knew Heath and Mary-Kate in his last months know that they were partying together constantly, it wasn’t hard to connect the dots and run a line between Heath hooking up with Mary-Kate and his sad decline."

Mary-Kate has increased her security ever since receiving these nasty letters. According to a friend of the teen, “Mary-Kate’s gotten more reclusive, paranoid and afraid to walk the streets than ever.” The story of Heath Ledger's death is questionable. When the maid found Ledger dead in his home, why did she first contact Mary-Kate and not 911? Hmm...seems a little suspicious.

According to sources, Mary-Kate has been in rehab twice. Her battle with anorexia cause her weight to decrease to 77 pounds! Some others believe that Mary-Kate was in rehab for her coke addiction. Her parents deny this rumor. Whatever the cause, Mary-Kate was definately in need of some professional help.

Owen Wilson Drops Movie Before Suicide Attempt

Owen Wilson was getting ready for a minor role in the upcoming movie, "Tropic Thunder", being filmed in Hawaii. However, Wilson will not be starring in the DreamWorks film. Wilson apparently dropped out of the movie. This was a couple weeks before his "accident". Sources claim that he was addicted to heroine and cocaine right before his apparent suicide attempt. The decision to drop out was a mutual decision between Wilson and director Ben Stiller. Playing the main roles in the movie are Jack Black and Robert Downey, Jr., while Wilson was supposed to have a minor role. Wilson's part was planning to be filmed just a week before he dropped out.

According to anonymous sources, a couple months before Wilson's suicide attempt, the actor was addicted to heroine and cocaine. He was also struggling with depression and hanging out with the wrong crowd. However, a rep for Wilson claimed that the rumor is untrue.

Wilson's drug use was also the main cause of his breakup with Kate Hudson on Memorial Day. A friend of Hudson's claims that, "The drugs and partying were a huge factor in the breakup. As much as she liked him, she didn’t want to be around that." Kate Hudson has a three-year-old son named Ryder who she had with Chris Robinson, her ex-husband. Robinson also had a drug problem, which could be another reason for Hudson's apprehension.

Everyone is worried about Wilson and his addiction to hard core drugs. Some people are so worried, moreover, that friend Woody Harrelson staged an intervention in Wilson's home in Hawaii in May. However, the intervention apparently did not work, and Wilson got more and more depressed, especially after Hudson got with Punk'd star Dax Shepard.

It killed Wilson that he could not be the one to make Kate happy. Although he is happy that she found someone she can be happy with, he is devestated that he cannot be that person. Wilson was hitting rock bottom while Hudson made out with Sheperd in an LA grocery store. Wilson visited St. Monica Church on August 23rd, right before his suicide attempt. His brother Luke Wilson found him in his home afterward apparently with a severely slashed wrist and having swallowed a bunch of pills.

Thank goodness that police got to Wilson in time. The actor was okay, and did not need to get his stomach pumped, although anti-depressants were definately in his blood stream. Wilson obviously has some serious issues to deal with. But everyone is glad that the actor is still alive and with us. Wilson does seem to be doing a bit better, and was seen recently having a good time on the beach with his brothers. Good luck Owen, we're all rooting for you.

Mickey Rourke Busted for DUI

We have not heard much about Mickey Rourke's drug and alcohol abuse lately. However, in mid-november of 2007, the actor was busted for a DUI after abusing alcohol at a Miami nightclub. Rourke is known for his acting in "Sin City", "Nine 1/2 Weeks" and "Wild Orchid". He has been busted repeatedly for abusing drugs.

On November 11, 2007, Rourke was pulled over in Miami on a scooter after he did an illegal u-turn at a red light right in front of a cop. He actually cut the police officer off! He then proceeded to swerve several times before he was finally pulled over. What an idiot. Rourke was pulled over at 4:20 am after partying at the famous Miami Beach nighclub Mansion. He was put in the Miami-Dade County Jail and was released with a $1,000 bond.

Not only was Rouke busted for a DUI on a green Vespa scooter, he was also known to be very uncooperative with the police officer. Rourke apprently greeted the officer saying cheerfully, "What the f--k did I do?" The police officer described the fifty-five year old saying he had, "a flushed face, bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath." However, Rourke claimed that, "I'm not drunk. I didn't even drink that much".

Officer Socarras administed a field sobriety test on what he described as, "a well-lit, dry, smooth, level surface." However, despite these more then adequate conditions, he "did not perform to standards." Rourke blew a 0.081, which barely exceeded the state's legal blood-alcohol limit. The officer also called for backup, claiming that Rourke's behavior was starting to become "uncooperative". This brings us back to old memories of Rourke when he resisted arrest in January of 1994.

This does not do well for Rourke's reputation, which is already not doing well after his bust for beating up his wife's drug dealer. He lost a role in a major Hollywood movie because of it. He beat the drug dealer up so much that he gave the man a concussion. Rourke was remembered saying, "I found this dude that had been giving my lady drugs. Where I'm from, if somebody is giving my wife heroin, you bet your a** I'm going to take a pop at him. I punched him - one punch and I gave him concussion. And I'm thinking, 'Oh s*t. I went for that movie the other day.' I call my agent and he says, 'You are out of the picture and you may never f**king work again.'" That was the end of that.

However, Mickey Rourke recently told a British magazine that he has been sticking strongly to his Catholic faith, which has helped him from returning to his abusive lifestyle. He claims that he avoids mental breakdowns by talking regularly to a priest. Rourke claims that, "I've talked to my priest a lot. I used to have to call him or the shrink when there was an explosion, because I was really good at not talking to anybody until there was an explosion." In Rourke's eight-year addiction period, he claims that he was close to committing suicide. He claims that he was only saved because of his strong faith in God. Well, if your religion can keep you sane, good luck Rourke. However, I don't really have much faith in you. Where was your faith in God that night when you were clubbing in Miami? Hm, good try.

Amy Winehouse: Desperate Need of Rehab

Well, it has gotten to the point where Amy Winehouse is in desperate need of professional help. While it is widely known that Amy likes to enjoy her drinks and occassional drugs, she is now on the road to having a complete meltdown. Last Wednesday, a drug overdose led to another concert cancellation. People who buy tickets to see Amy Winehouse should make other plans just in case the concert is cancelled for some other stunt that Amy may decide to pull. However, Amy is still refusing to go to rehab.

Everyone is familiar with Amy's "Sneak Snort", where she secretly tried to snort cocaine in the middle of her concert. However, if it is even possible, Amy's drug habits have gotten even worse. Amy Winehouse recently suffered from a drug overdose, where it is said that she took ecstatsy, cocaine, and a horse tranquilliser ketamine and washed it down with vodka and whiskey while she was in London. She was rushed to London's University College Hospital after collapsing where her stomach was pumped. It is also rumored that Amy was using heroine that same night. However, Amy's record company Island claims that Amy was only suffering from "severe exhaustion". Hm, why do I not believe that?

Winehouse is currently being seen by different physicians in a hospital in Hampshire, but she still refuses to go to rehab. A while ago, January 22, 2008, Amy Winehouse was also caught in a drug scandal. She visited a private rehabilitation center after she was caught on a video smoking crack. She was also overheard saying that she had popped six valium. Before she even got caught on film smoking crack, it is also rumored that she had snorted ecstasy and cocaine before even hitting the crack pipe. I think we can all see that Amy Winehouse is definately messed up.

However, even after all these drug busts, Amy Winehouse still refuses to go to rehab and get help. Since her overdose, it is said that she is not doing well. She barely eats and gets sick all of the time. It is also rumored that Amy is suicidal. Even so, a family friend claims that, “Amy is determined that she will NOT go to rehab.”

All of Amy's problems don't really seem to make sense. Amy is a very talented singer, and her career is doing very well right now. She was also nominated for six awards and was asked to sing at the Grammy's. Maybe all this spotlight is Amy's problem. She obviously has a very addictive personality, and maybe being a very popular singer in London and America have just been too much pressure for the girl. Come on, Amy. Get some help. Everyone likes to enjoy a few drinks and some drugs here and there, but you are obviously taking it a little overboard. Maybe accepting rehab would be a good start? Good luck.

Matthew Fox: Who Knew He Was a Bad Boy?

Who knew that "Lost" star Matthew Fox could ever be a bad boy? Whenever the name was mentioned, people usually just thought of his awesome body and hot face. However, Matthew Fox recently admitted to loving drugs. He admits that he breaks the law on many occasions, and he definately loves abusing illegal substances a lot.

Matthew Fox confessed that, "“I break the law all the time! I’ve done plenty of illegal narcotics, but I think everyone knowingly breaks the law pretty often, don’t they? I can’t imagine living my life abiding by the law completely. That’d be tough to do." Obviously, Matthew would rather enjoy life high then be boring. He can't imagine life without the occasional illegal narcotic. Well, at least we know that Matthew isn't one of those "law-abiding" celebrities. Those celebrities are boring and not fun to talk about!

Matthew also exclaims that he loves to smoke weed and get stoned. He talks about his trip to Jamaica with his wife that took place fifteen years ago. Matthew says that, "Oh God, it was a crazy trip! We stayed in this little bungalow out on the water, baked out of our minds for the first three days. We were just so stoned!" Who would have ever thought that? Matthew goes on to say that even when the couple got sick, they continued to blaze. He says that smoking just makes you feel better when your sick.

Apparently, abusing illegal narcotics isn't the only law Matthew enjoys breaking. He also loves to walk outside naked. He lives in Hawaii and he claims that, “I’m naked outdoors a lot, if naked outdoors means walking out to the pool naked and jumping in and walking back inside.” Who wouldn't walk around naked if they sported that body?

Well, who knew that Matthew Fox, who in the past was only known for good looks, also sports a "bad boy" image. I like it. Any celeb who admits to loving drugs and other activities is a fan in my book. They give me something good to talk about! Way to go Matthew, and keep up the good work.
